The Taliban announced the names of a number of individuals, including two of the group's military commanders, who have been appointed to key positions in the Taliban government. A Taliban spokesman said Mullah Abdul Qayyum Zakir would be deputy defense minister and Sadr Ibrahim would be deputy interior minister.
