Following the resignation of the Dutch Foreign Minister, the Minister of Defense Ank Bilhold also said on Friday that he was resigning due to the way in which the departure of refugees from Afghanistan was being handled.

The Dutch parliament on Thursday strongly criticized the two ministers' performance in creating a safe route for the transfer of thousands of people from Afghanistan.
